Labor Day!

Hi everyone! Im so sorry this has taken so long to write, but I haven't been feeling well lately.
Labor Day weekend was so wonderful and relaxing! I was in Brainerd at my parents cabin with the family. A lot of us don't get together very often so it was nice to be able to spend the weekend together. We had lots of kids running around, people water skiing, bonfires, happy hour boat cruses and so much good food it was ridiculous! Nick was able to come up for the latter part of the weekend and finally get to meet some more of the family. It was so sad to leave because we didn't know if we would be able to make it up once again this summer. Other than that I don't have much to say, but I did take a lot of pictures to share!

The weather was on our side! This picture was taken on our way to Ivan's on the Bay where we had cocktails and appetizers. So beautiful!

Bad-mitten! My mom and I played Nick and my uncle Jim. They whooped us!

This is my dad's puppy Ranger who seems to be growing 5 lbs a week!

I love this picture because it shows when you have water the kids will come! My parent's lake is so shallow it's perfect for the kids to play in.

State Fair 2009

Nick and I went to the State Fair for the 2nd time together yesterday, and we had a blast! The State Fair is one of my favorite things to do and I get extremely excited for it each year. We lucked out because the weather was fabulous, sunny, but not too hot. We ate tons of food. A couple items that I remember are cheese-curds, footlong hotdog, corn, steak sandwich, deep fried snickers bar, gyro, deep fried pickles, wine ice cream, french fries, and mini donuts! The deep fried pickles and wine ice cream were new favorites to us. If you haven't been to the state fair yet, when you do go, I suggest you try those two things.
Other then eating mass amounts of food, we went on the Old Mill boat ride. A first time for Nick, I told him it was something he had to do incase they shut it down one day. It's been at the State Fair for 96 years! We also went on the faris wheel, went through a couple of fun houses and played some games. Nick won me a huge moose, I honestly think it was the biggest prize you could win at the fair! It was so big it was causing commotion so we brought it to the car. We finally took our tired butts home at midnight. I am sad it's over and I have to wait an entire year to do it again.

Nick hates rides but will amuse me and go on the faris wheel each year.
Every year Nick gets a shirt of us....this year he picked 'what dreams are made of'!

We decided to name him Marty..
